President Michael Sata has dropped Wilie Nsanda less than 12 hours after appointing him minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communications.
And former state house chief of Staff Austin Sichinga and ex- Chief of State Protocol at State House Bob Samakai have accepted to be permanent Secretaries under the new regime.
President Sata Thursday morning nominated Nsanda as MP and appointed him minister but dropped him at 16 hours together with his deputy Samuel Mukupa.
He gave no reasons but indications are that the president is trying to normalise the situation whereby he nominated 10 MPs instead of the required 8.
On Bob Samakai and Austin Sichinga, a source has explained that the two have accepted to join the PF regime after being threatened with imprisonment.
The two are expected to pass on information to Sata on how former president Rupiah Banda was operating.
When parliament opens, the government plans to remove the immunity of former president Rupiah Banda so that he can be arrested.
