Sata expected in Mkush, but Katema unsure he will open parliament

President Michael Sata is this weekend expected in Mkushi South to drum up support for the Patriotic Front candidate.

PF secretary general Edgar Lungu confirmed to government controlled media.

But Information Minister and Chief Government Spokesperson Joseph Katemaon Friday evening told Hot FM Radio that government will decide and announce whether President Sata will attend the official opening of parliament on September 19, 2014.
This is in direct contrast to Vice President Guy Scott’s assurance that Sata will open parliament as he was fit and working.

President Michael Sata has not been seen in public from June 20, 2014.

This is the only 90 days stuff he is likely to fulfil.
