Sata expected in Mozambique, huge delegation already in Maputo

PRESIDENT Sata is today expected today expected in Mozambiqque for the Southern African Development Community (SADC) 32nd heads of State and government summit.
Zambia’s Ambassador to Mozambique Japhen Mwakalombe told the Zambian press crew at a media briefing yesterday that the Sata is expected to arrive in Maputo at 10:45 hours.
Ministers of Foreign Affairs (Given Lubinda), Commerce, Trade and Industry (Bob Sichinga), Lands, Energy and Water Development (Christopher Yaluma) and Deputy Minister of Finance Miles Sampa have already arrived in Maputo, ahead of the heads of State and government summit which will officially open Friday.

Angola’s President Jose Eduardo dos Santos, who is SADC chairperson,  will later during the official opening ceremony, give prizes to regional winners of the 2011 SADC essay competition and media awards.
President Dos Santos will also present a keynote address before handing over the SADC chairperson´s badge to his successor President Guebuza.
The Mozambican President will then deliver an acceptance statement of the SADC chairmanship.
