Sata fires two deputy ministers

President Michael Sata has fired Ronald Chitotela and Rogers Mwewa as Deputy Ministers of Labour and Agriculture respectively.
Speaking during a meeting with Cabinet Ministers and all Patriotic Front(PF) Members of Parliament at State House this morning, President Sata says he cannot have deputy ministers working in government when they are being investigated over corrupt activities.
The Head of State says it is therefore important that he drops the duo as investigations continue so that they have enough time to clear their names.
President Sata has also urged all PF Members of Parliament to go back to their constitutions and take the media with them and tell the people how much work the PF has done in the few months they have been in power.
He reminded them that 2016 is around the corner and that it is high time PF MPs showed the people how much work they have done in their respective
constituencies.

Yesterday, Zambian Watchdog exposed a scam in which the two deputy ministers bought write off vehicles as ambulances for their constituencies contrary to government regulations which do not allow the purchase of second hand vehicles.
