Without giving credit to Levy Mwanawasa and Rupiah Banda who started the project, President Michael Sata yesterday said was happy that ZESCO load shedding would soon end after commissioning the Kariba North Bank power project that was negotiated and started under the able leadership of late president Levy Mwanawasa.

Sata, who has so far wanted to get credit for projects he never initiated, commissioned the first Generator unit at the $278 million Kariba North Bank extension power station which is expected to generate 360 Mega Watts of power.

The Kariba project was proposed, negotiated and signed between the late Mwanawasa administration and the Chinese Government.

The Chinese power contraction firm Synohydro moved on site to start construction in 2009 when Mr. Sata was still busy manufacturing lies and hot air by threatening to chase all the Chinese when in power.

But yesterday, Mr. Sata who went to Siavonga using three helicopters again lied that he was grateful to the Chinese Government because his recent trip to China was worth it as he went to beg for the power project which has never been done in 36 years.

However Mr. Sata, who has told the nation that the Chinese were more intelligent than Zambians, was not happy that after 49 years of independence, Zambia was still importing engineers from China to produce electricity.
