Sata says what is happening in Barotseland is serious and asks army to be alert

President Michael Sata says what is happening in Western province is serious.

Sata was speaking on Friday when he commissioned cadets at Kohima Baracks in Kabwe.

Sata said he is disapointed with the minister of Home Affairs Kennedy Sakeni and inspector General of police Martin Malama for failing to deal with people who want create another country there.

He said people in the province are planning to create a state within a state and have even appointed a prime minsiter.

He said the same  people are now looking for offices to operate from.

Sata says he does not want to mobilise the army but that they should be alert.
