Sata to campaign in Monze today

PF president Michael Sata last night sneaked into Monze district after conducting a public campaign rally in Mazabuka.
Sources within the Patriotic Front told the Watchdog that Sata arrived in Monze in the night just after 20:30 hours unnoticed ahead of today’s public rally scheduled for Railways ground at 15:00 hours.
“The president decided to start off in the night from Mazabuka because he did not want to strain himself, as you are aware he is one person who doesn’t like moving in the night but he had to do it because he needed to have enough rest, he doesn’t want to jeopardize his campaign
by just addressing people for few minutes like it was reported in Mufumbwe. So right now he is resting at Golden Pillow Lodge waiting for 15:00 hours rally,” the source briefed the Watchdog.
A check at Golden Pillow Lodge this morning revealed that the Donchi Kubeba team was manning the lodge where Sata is lodged.
The Donchi Kubeba could not allow anyone to enter the other part of the lodge apart from PF members upon being cleared.
Meanwhile Sata this morning had a closed door meeting with senior party officials who included all the three PF aspiring candidates at Golden Pillow Lodge where he is lodged.
According to sources Sata expressed dissatisfaction in the manner the PF aspiring candidates are carrying on with the campaigns.
“The president is not happy with the way we are handling the campaigns, but we told him that we were not given any money and materials apart from the posters we collected from Lusaka, we told him
that campaigns here in Monze and Southern province as a whole are a little bit challenging because we are the only biggest political party
without materials,” the source said. The PF is fielding Giver Nsanzya for Monze Central, Francis Mwila Bwembya in Bwengwa and Reginald Mogoba in Moomba.
Sata is later in the afternoon scheduled to travel to Choma before finally concluding his campaign trail of Southern province with Livingstone on Sunday.
