Sata to leave for USA after opening parliament

Ailing president Michael Sata is expected to leave for New York, United States of America this Saturday, a day after opening parliament.

Highly placed State House sources have disclosed that depending on his state of health after opening parliament, Sata will leave for the US, but details of the trip have not yet been disclosed.

“If it coincides with the United Nations Annual General, he may probably attend, but indications are so far that he is going for top medical facilities and personnel over the various complications he is having. We are not even sure how long he will stay there. He may also want to go for fresh air and runaway from the on-going tabulance going on at home regarding the succession wrangles within his PF political party”, sources said.

All eyes will be on Sata today as he presides over the length ceremonial opening of Parliament session.
