Kaseba refuses to endorse Lungu at last rally, Luo to be appointed vice-president

President Michael Sata’s s widow Christine Kaseba refused to be part of the Edgar Lungu campaign team despite several pleas to her to endorse Lungu even at yesterday’s finally rally at Woodlands Stadium.

And a secretly newly released cabinet and MPs list from Lungu’s camp still indicate that Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkandu Luo will be the Vice-President should Lungu win today’s presidential elections.

Highly placed sources say Mulenga and Kaseba were supposed to make an appearance at the PF’s finally rally yesterday at a sign of unite and anointment but they both refused especially with the presence of former president Rupiah Banda who they accuse of having taken over the PF.

“Mulenga and Kaseba are upset with the take-over the PF by Rupiah Banda, the person who tormented their relative Sata. They also believe it was a lie that Sata anointed Lungu to take over the PF. If indeed Sata had anointed Lungu, then these family members would not have challenged for the PF presidency. The other Sata’s family member who has refused to endorse and campaign for Lungu is Commerce Minister Bob ‘Bashi Nono’ Sichinga. Campaigns have ended without Sichinga making an appearance at any of the PF rallies,” revealed PF insiders last night.

And Nkandu Luo has again emerged from the PF list as the favourite to be appointed as Vice-president should Lungu win elections. The list also shows a lot of Rupiah Banda’s recommended people such as Dora Siliya, Muhabi Lungu, Dickson Jere, in key government positions.

The list also shows a lot of current serving ministers and MPs not being retained to re-contest their seats in 2016 elections.
