Sata’s wife to be honoured

First Lady Dr Christine Kaseba will tonight be awarded the Global Leadership Award in recognition for her contribution towards the fight against Cervical and Breast Cancer in Washington DC.
Charge d’affairs at the Zambian Embassy in Washington DC Mr. Ben Kangwa announced that Dr Kaseba will be honoured by the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, an organization that is dedicated to fighting Cancer among women.
Mr. Kangwa observed that the award was an honour for the Zambia especially for the first lady who has been advocating for early diagnosis, care and treatment among woman with cervical cancer.
According to a Press Statement to Pan African Radio 105.1FM sent by Patricia Litiya, First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Washington DC, United States of America, Dr Kaseba will be awarded together with three other recipients in the scientific, medical, leadership and community awards at the Kennedy Center this evening.
Other recipients include Senator Olympia Snowe for the Betty Ford Life time Achievement Award, Maggie Daley for the Community Award and Dr Umberto Veronesi for the Scientific and Medical award.
