Sata’s wife wants Masebo sidelined for having attempted to fire her from UTH

After treacherous Given Lubinda has been side-lined, now the First Lady Christine Kaseba wants Tourism and Arts Minister Silvia Masebo side-lined because she has received information that Masebo wanted her fired when she worked at the University Teaching Hospital.

According to information obtained, Mrs. Kaseba Sata has been told that Masebo during Mwanawasa administration approached the then health Permanent Secretary Simon Miti and UTH Managing Director Tuckson Lambert to have Kaseba fired for being the wife to the then opposition leader Michael Sata.

The source said Miti and Lambert refused to dismiss Kaseba a move that annoyed Masebo who then made sure Dr. Lambert was removed from UTH.

The source said Kaseba has since been told about this by Simon Miti and it is actually the First Lady who made sure that Miti was given a position in government.

Miti is currently serving as Permanent Secretary In-charge of Parliamentary business at Cabinet Office.

“You know when Masebo was in Mwanawasa government, she wanted Kaseba fired for being the wife to Sata, and Lambert and Miti refused to dismiss Kaseba, so she has been told and she now wants Masebo to go, Miti told the first lady that’s why he got that job” the source said.

Masebo, who is traditionally very close to first ladies, is not a favourate of Kaseba and only draws her strength from being close to the clique that wants to fix former president Rupiah Banda and wants to take-over the presidency, comprising Fred Mmembe, Wynter Kabimba and Mutembo  Nchito.
