After being exposed by the Watchdog, acting president Guy Scott on Saturday abandoned his mission to recognise Kanyanta Sosala as Chitimukulu.
Scott was ordered by Lungu to go and recognise the Chitmukulu in an effort to hoodwink the Chitimukulu and his people for the sake of the by-election. Lungu is holding Scott captive and can order him to do whatever he wants from the time he sent ZAF commanders to intimidate him into supporting him as PF candidate.
But the Watchdog were informed in advance and publicised the mission while Scott was on his way.
Given the expose, Scott decided to tell lies to the Chitimukulu by claiming that he has no powers to sign Statutory instruments.
“I removed police and made sure you were returned to the palace. I will ensure that a Statutory Instrument is signed to recognise you once a new president is elected because currently, I have limited powers,” Scott told the Chitimukulu.
This is the same Guy Scott who recently signed a statutory instrument to increase the retirement age from 55 to 65.
He later pardoned convicted criminals George Mpombp and Steven Masumba using ‘limited powers’?
