Scott was advised not to attend General Conference- Zambians urged to guard their votes

Acting President Guy Scott did not go to the PF general conference that elected Edgar Lungu as party president after being advised by security wings.
And a source from police intelligence has advised Zambians to be vigilant and guard their votes.
Lungu’s thugs had planned to embarrass Scott at the conference to force his security to take him out after officially opening the conference.
Intelligence sources have revealed that Willie Nsanda had transported hundreds of thugs into Mulungushi Rock of Authority to cause trouble and force Scott out.
‘The idea was to allow Guy Scott to officially open the meeting and adopt candidates after which they would have booed and insulted him to force his security to whisk him out of the venue, having been opened by Scott, the meeting would have then proceeded to elect Lungu but Scott was advised not to go there,’ said the source .
The source said Willie Nsanda, a former car thief on the Copper belt and now board chairperson for the Road Development Agency (RDA) was the main sponsor of the thugs who were brought in but the intelligence officers were among the cadres and monitored all their plans.
‘Mind you Scott is Acting President, PF is now under the microscope of the OP and Scott has reports on their activities,’ said the source.
And a source from police intelligence has advised Zambians to be vigilant and guard their votes in the January 20th presidential by-elections.
‘It will not be easy for Edgar Lungu to win in free and fair elections so people should turn out in numbers to vote and be vigilant,’ said the source.
