Incarcerated murder suspect Mathews Morhan is expected to be given a Nolle proseque soon so that he can testify against some judges.
Sources from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) chambers informed the watchdog that DPP Mutembo Nchito has promised Mohan that he would enter a Nolle Prosequi in his favour if he saved Fred Mmembe and Mutembo himself from the case involving the K14 billion they owe the Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ).
Mohan is jailed for other crimes but he is also remanded in connection with the murder of businessman Sajid Itowala.
Mohan has of late been given prominent media coverage, hitting headlines from the prison in scandalising Judge Phillip Musonda in refusal by Mmembe and Nchito brothers to pay back the K14 billion loan to DBZ.
The case involving the two individuals (Fred Mmembe and Mutembo Nchito) has since engulfed the whole nation with Sata suspending the Judges who ruled that the trio should pay back the public money.
