SDA agency helps disabled

Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) has donated 14 bells of second hand clothes worth K7 million to Zambia Agency for Persons with Disabilities (ZAPD).

Making the donation in Lusaka today, ADRA Country Director John Kunda said ADRA would like to be part of stakeholders and the community that recognizes the day for the disabled which falls tomorrow 3rd December, hence the donation.

Mr. Kunda noted that ADRA would like to affirm its commitment in a quest to alleviate challenges that the disabled people face and also to see how best they can help and make an impact on persons with disabilities.

He said the second hand clothes that have been donated to ZAPD are assortment of clothing for all seasons which will carter for both men, women, children and infants.

And receiving the donation ZAPD Director General Dr. Charles Mwape expressed gratitude to ADRA for the donation.

Dr. Mwape said the donation is a starting point to a partnership that will assist persons with disabilities in communities and at household level.

He said the donated items will be shared among persons with disabilities that have already been identified.
