Shorprite Chingola accused of stealing from buyers

Shorprite Chingola accused of stealing from buyers

Am writing today to complain of the poor services we are receiving here at Shoprite in Chingola. Most prices indicated on their display is totally different from what they will indicate at the till….This Morning I bought stuff thinking I’ll just spend only K284 but ended up paying K620 instead. After querying only to be told that someone is feeling lazy to change and replace old price tags with new ones.

I trust this is not the way big companies like Shoprite wishes to conduct business with valued customers—I have been with you since the company came to Zambia and have never encountered such before. I would be happy if they can start indicating correct prices to prevent deceiving people or a similar situation from recurring.

Jordan.

It is not that someone felt lazy to change the prices brothers, what it is,is that all chain stores even in South Africa use the same tactics to get more from customers, hence the policy that ” you must pay what the price tagged and not what the till prices. Make sure to always mark the price an item was tagged at and when you get to the till, insist to pay the same amount.

Fire the lazy ones and bring in people who will not feel lazy to change the price tags, and keep the business running smoothly

Cpcc must come on board. These outlets are even stealing alot from us on change. If the item is costing K22.70 and you happen to pay K23 you’ll not get your 30ngwee change coz the 20 and 10ngwees are not available. So at the close of business in the evening how many 30ngwees will remain with Shoprite or Pick n Pay? Then you multiply by all outlets in the country. The best is to put a round figure like K22.50 or K23 coz the 50ngwee are there in circulation.

People one you should understand is that Shoprite is a busy entity, it could be that maybe they forgot to change prices or maybe the is increament of both output and input VAT. thank you

@ Modern, why did you pay for them instead of leaving them on that same till.Walk away and buy from pick and pay. It’s your money and you need to get value for it

This is true i had a similar encounter with pick n pay in Lusaka, the price for an item was showing K10 but at the till it showed K26,i couldn’t buy as amounted to daylight theft.
