PF Secretary general Davis Chama has ordered Information and broadcasting services minister Chishimba Kambwili to stop commenting on party matters and that he has no right to reject Dora Siliya for having insulted late President Sata because even him (Kambwili) had also insulted President Edgar Lungu but was forgiven.
Chama who was speaking in the wake of Kambwili’s comments that he would rather sell his soul to the devil than accepting Siliya into the PF said Kambwili was only government spokesperson and not PF spokesperson.
Siliya’s recent joining of the PF has attracted mixed reaction from some ruling party members because of the insults she uttered against Sata and other PF members during the 2011 election campaigns.
While on a campaign trail in Eastern province, Siliya said Sata wanted to legalise homosexuality and that he had no respect for women because he was not born from human beings among other verbal abuses.
Siliya has been allured to the PF by former Presiddent Rupiah Banda and is tipped to be the party’s candidate in the Petauke Central by election and will be appointed into Lungu’s cabinet if she wins.
Just like the Watchdog predicted, Kamwbwili will soon apologise to Siliya and probably join the campaigns.
