Nchanga PF Member of Parliament Wilbur Simuusa was yesterday embarrassed in his constituency after taxi and minibus drivers booed him when he tried to inspect bad roads in the area.
As Simuusa was trying to move around to inspect the bad state of roads in Nchanga constituency which is based in Chingola, tax and minibus drivers started hooting and booing him while shouting ‘haleisa, haleisa, haleisa.
Security personal, in embarrassment, were forced to whisky him away to some nearby building where he gave an interview to some journalists, and offered more fake promises on what he was going to do in the area.
Mr. Simuusa was last week demoted by president Michael Sata in terms of ministerial seniority from being Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Ministry of Agriculture.
Chingola is one town that has some of the waste road infrastructure on the Copperbelt.
The stretch from Kitwe to Chingola, which is supposed to be a dual carriage way has basically been abandoned by the contractors due to luck of funding and has now turned into a death trap with too many road accidents.
The nearby town of Chililabombwe in the same area recently punished the ruling PF by voting for the opposition UPND candidate in the local government elections.
