Small Nyaus arrested for defiling minors

Police in Chipata have arrested 3 members of the ‘Gule Wamukulu’ who allegedly defiled 2 girls of Chikako village in Chief Chanje’s area on 13th November, 2018.
Confirming the arrest to Journalists this morning, Provincial Police Commissioner, Luckson Sakala says the 3 were nabbed following a tip-off from whistle blowers.
Mr Sakala says all the 3 are minors aged 14, 13 and 11 respectively, noting that they are in custody.
He also adds that victims too are minors aged 14 and 13.
The Provincial Police Chief notes that the suspects will appear in court soon and that if convicted, they will be sent to a reformatory school.
He says the law will apply as it does not segregate, stating that society cannot afford to have minors who are defilers.
Meanwhile, Mr Sakala has commended Chief Chanje for working tirelessly until the suspects were brought to book.
He has also hailed the whistle blowers for sounding the alarm.
