Soccer fans criticize under 20 Afcon official song

The theme song for the under 20 African Cup of Nations to be hosted by Zambia has attracted criticism from a cross section of soccer fans.
The theme song performed by ‘PF’ musicians Jordan ‘JK’Katembula, Justin ‘Mozegator’ Mulenga and Wilson ‘Wille’ Lungu was officially launched by Sports Minister Moses Mawere on Wednesday.
The song’s title is “Imiti ikula empanga” derived from a Bemba proverb which means trees that grow today make tomorrow’s stars.
Some soccer fans have charged that the song sounds more like the PF campaign song ‘dununa reverse’ which was done by the same musicians.
‘You should have used neutral artists not these cadres,’ said Nkhosi Jere.
Another soccer fan Brighton said ‘the song sounds like a campaign song for a certain political party.’
Another fan who did not give his name said the organising committee should quickly come up with another song.
‘Let them change the song and the musicians because the artists behind it are sending a wrong signal, why do a song that sounds like the dununa reverse political song and is the event for a certain political party only? Asked the soccer fan.
The under 20 African Cup of Nations will run from 26th February to 12th March in Ndola and Lusaka.

Choose another song if you want every one to attend or watch the games please. By the way who appointed them to do that job? He should be one of them

Ma rubbish ya song. Just ignore it, enjoy the games, the period is short and the song will soon go in the archives. Thank you.
