Speaker confirms Livingstone MP has been too sick to work from time he was ‘elected’

Speaker of National Assembly Patrick Matibini on Thursday confirmed the Zambiawatchdog revelations that newly elected Livingstone MP Lawrence Evans has been terminally ailing in Livingstone Hospital since being elected.

Mr. Matibini was responding from a point of order from Monze MP Jackie Mwiimbu who wanted to know why the people of Livingstone have been poorly represented in Parliament since the last elections because the MP has been missing from the house.

In his ruling, Matibini said he was informed that the MP has been disposed off and ailing in hospital hence unable to attend and represent the people of Livingstone in parliament.

Mr. Evans who the people of Livingstone accuse of satanism was elected after an acrimonious by-elections that saw the PF sacrificing two of their members in the process and attempted in vein to accuse the opposition UPND of being responsible for murders.

The UPND have since petitioned the election result and Mr. Evans has been failing to even attend to his court process and has been abandoned by his PF regime in handling both the petition and the hospital medication.

Mr. Evans was featured even when he was already ailing and unable to wear shoes even in parliament the few days he appeared in parliament
