State grows cold feet in Dr Nevers Mumba’s criminal trespass case

Dr Mumba with GBM in court

The State has failed to file written submissions as ordered by the court in MMD faction president Dr Nevers Mumba’s bogus criminal trespass case.
The failure by the state to make submissions subsequently delayed judgement when the matter came up on Thursday, 10th August 2017.

They have since sought leave to file the submissions out of time.
Mumba was arrested last year and held at the now infamous Woodlands Police Station before he was released on bail.

On 8th September 2016, Dr Mumba had gone to the PF abused ZNBC newsroom to complain about a twisted news story on the presidential petition that was carried by ZNBC on their 19 hours news but the PF police later stormed his Kabulonga home pretending to be searching for firearms and later arrested him on a trumped charge of criminal trespass at ZNBC.
Dr Mumba is also facing another charge of giving false information to a public officer.

At the time Dr Mumba had been arrested he had maintained from woodlands police cells that he would never stop talking until the UPND petition case was heard by the constitutional court.
