State house lawyer Lukangaba accused of making money by intimidating judges

State House legal advisor Sukwana Lukangaba has taken over from Amos Chanda the role of abusing president Edgar Lungu’s name to do favours for his business partners and to intimidate business rivals.

State House officials complain that Sukwana, a well known drunkard and womaniser, has now inherited all the shoddy deals Chanda left.

Being the legal advisor to President Lungu, Sukwana is said to be using his apparent powers to interfere in court cases by telling judges how to rule. Sukwana gets money from people with cases in court; promises them favourable judgments.

Sukwana has created his own cartel of judges. All court cases he has financial or other narrow interests in are given to judges he controls. The list will follow. In exchange, Sukwana promises these judges promotions to higher courts and financial favours. Sukwana assures judges that whatever he tells them is on behalf of Lungu as Lungu himself can not be seen to meet judges in dark corners.

Sukwana is a heavy drinker and womaniser such that even when he was swearing  him in, President Lungu cautioned him against his dangerous social life especially clubbing.

Currently, Sukwana is interfering in at least four court cases including the KCM controversy and one involving ZTE where he has received huge bribes.
