State House spokesperson Dickson Jere has announced that president Rupiah Banda is going to Angola tomorrow at the invitation of the Angolan president Eduardo dos Santos.
Jere said in an email statement that ‘President Banda is expected to return home on Monday after holding a meeting with his Angolan counterpart.’
“His Excellency, Mr. Rupiah Banda, President of the Republic of Zambia, is scheduled to leave for Angola on Sunday where he has been invited by that country’s President His Excellency, Mr. Eduardo dos Santos.
“The President will be accompanied to Luanda, Angola by Hon. Kenneth Chipungu, MP, Minister of Sports, Youth and Child Development and other Senior Government Officials’ said Jere.
He didn’t say anything about watching football.
But yesterday sports minister Kenneth Chipungu said the president will be going to watch the Chipolopolo boys.
