State House says it has not received an official resignation letter from Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba.
Edgar Lungu’s Spokesperson Amos Chanda says contrary to some media reports Mr. Kalaba remains the office holder.
But see the video of Kalaba confirming his resignation on our Facebook page.
Mr. Chanda explains that Mr. Kalaba’s office can only be declared vacant if the President removed him from office or if the Head of State receives an official resignation letter from the Minister.
He has told ZNBC News in an interview that State House is waiting to receive the letter of notice if the social media reports are correct.
Efforts to get a confirmation from Mr. Kalaba by DeadNBC proved as his mobile phone was off by broadcast time.
