Sudan beats Zambia 2 – 0

The Chipolopolo boys have suffered humilliating defeat at the hands of the Sudanese national team in Khartoum.

The plan by Zambia to use its goodwill as AFCON champions to qualify to the world cup for the first time has just suffered a setback as they lost 2 goals to nil.

On April 20, 2012, Sudan’s national football team coach Mohamed Abdallah Mazda said his team will beat the African Champions so badly that FAZ will have no option but to fire Coach Herve Renard.

Abdallah  was quoted by the Sudan media as saying that his side has gotten over the 3-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of the Chipolopolo boys during the Africa Cup tournament last February.

He said Sudan has leant a lot from the defeat and was now ready to face any team be it super powers like Zambia and Ghana or mere underdogs like Lesotho.

Abdallah said he wants his side to beat Zambia both at home and away adding that Sudan’s defeat of Zambia will be very humiliating.

“Yes, that’s the idea…We will beat them,” said Abdallah, responding to a journalist who asked if Sudan was now good enough to beat Zambia. “We have now reached a point where we are very strong both physically and spiritually. I can tell you that if Allah allows it-which he will- we will beat Zambia so badly that they will fire their coach! Praise be to Allah!!”
