Supreme Court adjourns Nevers Mumba, Muhabi hearing to Tuesday

The Supreme Court has adjourned to tomorrow Tuesday hearing in the case in which Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) president Nevers Mumba has appealed against an injunction that was dismissed by the High Court.
Mumba has asked the Supreme Court to reverse the High Court decision to throw out an injunction to restrain the MMD National Secretary Muhabi Lungu from preventing him from performing party functions.
The case could not proceed because heads of arguments were only served on the respondents by Mumba’s lawyers this morning.
And Acting Chief Justice Lombe ChibesaKunda has cautioned lawyers representing both parties to ensure that there are no delays because the court was under pressure to conclude the matter within this week.
