TB Joshua claims he prophesied Obama victory

With news reverberating worldwide of Barack Obama’s re-election, a video has appeared on YouTube claiming that Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua had prophesied Obama historic victory.

According to press statements sent by Joshua’ Church, the video was released on YouTube hours before results trickled in. See the video here

The video, released on Joshua’s official YouTube channel, ‘scoanTV’ and his Christian television station, Emmanuel TV, shows  Joshua supposedly talking about the battle for American Presidency on Sunday 6th May, a time when national polls were still projecting a relatively comfortable victory for Obama.

“We should pray for President Obama,” Joshua said. “He should do something quickly on health care because they are going to use this against him. I will not say more than that.  Because I see there will be wrestling. The battle will be very, very close. It’s not advice. It’s what I am seeing on the board. It’s a vision.”

Speaking again on Sunday 4th November, Joshua specified his prayer was for the candidate who would promote peace and work internationally to bring unity. “The battle will be very, very close… Someone who will come out of the two who will be concerned about peace, bring unity and appeal to the nations all over the world and not continue with war – that is what the whole world needs now. That is my prayer. That is prophecy.” Joshua added persistent wars would result in nothing but ‘economic depression’.
