There will be no peace in Zambia if I lose, Lungu tells officials

Lungu
“I can’t be so stupid to concede defeat after serving for less than two years, that is an embarrassment to me and my party”, warns Edgar Lungu.
Republican President Edgar Lungu has reaffirmed his position to use all forms of necessary measures, even unconventional ones, to win the forth coming general elections.
The Head of State said this in Katete (Eastern Province) today in a closed door meeting that was attended by Eastern Province Police Commissioner and Head of State Intelligence plus other senior security personnel, seven senior party officials who included Ms Mumbi Phiri, before he addressed scores of cheering marketers.
The source who attended the meeting said the Head of State was in an angry mood following the report that HH and GBM were now commanding a lot of popularity in Kabwe and Kapirimposhi.
The source further observed that what annoyed the president more, was to learn that the people of Kapiri mposhi gave GBM a thunderous welcome despite HH not being in attendance. He labeled HH a coward who cancelled his planned tour of Kapirimposhi after learning that armed Government Agents were trailing him.
“Gentlemen and Ladies, I hope you are aware that this year things (elections) will be tough for us, and even for you; because your continued work depends on us. If we lose you will also lose, and if we win you would receive your shares (promotion) as promised. Mumbi (Phiri) boyi bebeko ababantu” (Mumbi my friend tell them), said President Lungu.
Ukabeba limbi leka mpwiishe (You will tell them later, let me finish).
“I want to tell you officers that as PF we mean business. I have information that even here there are civil servants that are working with my enemy (HH). But I challenge you officers to provide me with names and details of all those senior civil servants that are against PF and me, so that I can deal with them firmly. They are the ones that are making our work difficult. Our party has become unpopular because of them not implementing our policies and busy politicking. I am determined to flash them out. Zambia is the only country in Africa where it is difficult to fire a civil servant, but if I win, I will change that. A lot of these fools (civil servants) will be fired. But you (Provincial Intelligence Chief and Police Commissioner), you will be promoted if you work well this year by helping us to win these tight elections”, he said.
A lot is needed…. HH will not allow you to continue (should he win), mark my words. So just work together with us”, said President Lungu secretly.
“I can’t hide, I am not prepared to lose these elections whatever happens. So if it means spending a lot of money to win, I am ready. But if money can’t make me (to win), I am ready even for unconventional means like our father (Yoweri Museveni), and there I will require your maximum support”
“HH can’t fight me, he has no means. If it means fighting using his militiamen in Lusaka……….., those they can’t do anything, I am the president and the Commander In Chief. I will even warn the foolish two (HH and GBM) to dismantle their militia or feel my weight. I am simple in looking but tough in action.
Kambwili and my other Agents (OP) informed me this morning that HH and his fellow fool (GBM) are trying to counter our party carders. But they should not forget that those carders (PF) are actually from the ruling class (Ruling Party). It is normal anywhere in Africa for any party in power to have people to protect its top officials. You don’t put the whole trust on Zambia Police Officers or Council (police), some are opposition sympathizers and that can be harmful to the party members. So UPND cannot hide in the name of emulating us, they are just a tribal opposition (party). For me, it will be more (beating and imprisoning opposition political members) than in Uganda”, warned President Lungu.
And the Head of State has expressed sadness on Copperbelt Police Commissioner (Charity Katanga) for allowing the UPND to enter the area. He said that he was considering transferring her to Eastern Province on exchange basis, in the same capacity or retiring her on national interest. He observed that the opposition was not supposed to enjoy the same privileges as the ruling party in terms of campaigning.
“I informed the IG to ensure that the Mpongwe rally is cancelled, but that lady is adamant. Nganamuntamfya inchito then women groups should rise. I don’t want to leave any stone unturned”, said the Head of State.
He disclosed that he has information that HH did not enter Kapirimposhi as he feared to be injured by state agents assigned by State House. The Head of State also mocked the UPND for only managing to identify 3 out of 11 Secret Service Men and Women who were trailing HH from Lusaka.
“HH claims to be receiving first hand intelligence information than me, concerning government activities, but how come he has failed to identify the other 9 agents who are still trailing him?” laughed President Lungu. “When you identify three (OP officers) trailing you (HH), you cerebrate, forgetting the other nine who are even ‘helping’ distributing your beer. “Ala bane, Boma ni Boma…”, concluded the President.
