President Michael Sata has corrupted outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Zhou Yuxiao with 5 acres of prime land while more than 600 families are sleeping in the cold on the Copperbelt’s Mindolo Township.
In a frail voice at State House when he met visiting Chinese vice-president Li Yuanchao Mr. Sata also threatened any Zambian who is against Chinese investment.
“Those who want to kill Chinese, should kill me first. These are genuine people who have the heart of the country because they built the TAZARA Railway Line,” said Mr. Sata
He also directed Minister of Finance his uncle Alexander Chikwanda and his Commerce counterpart, his in-law Bob Sichinga to get on the next flight to China and look for more investment.
Recently, Lands Minister Mwansa Kapeya said there was no more land to give out, especially in Lusaka.
The Chinese Vice President arrived in Zambia accompanied by 21 businessmen and Communist Party officials for a three-day visit where he is expected to sign loan and grant agreements to aid Zambia’s development.
Mr. Li is due to sign eight agreements including the financing of hospital and mobile medical clinics, road construction, and electricity generation projects.
Mr. Li, who is the most senior Chinese leader to visit Zambia since President Michael Sata came to office in 2011, will also help Zambia with more mobile hospitals which Mr. Sata condemned as an opposition leader, but now widely used and monopolised by the first lady Christine Kaseba in her campaigns.
