The Times of Zambia has suspended three union officials for ‘inciting’ workers to go on strike.
The Times Printpark board sub subcommittee on human resource sat Wedensday and directed that management should take strong disclipnary measures against Zambian Union of Journalists officials who instigated the three-days strike lask wee.
The Watchdog has been informed that the Times of Zambia has written to the labour commissioner asking that office to suspened the recognition agreement until the union shows abilityto carry out duties in a lwaful manner.
Suspended officials are Delphine Hapande Zulu, Shamaona Musonda and Stembridge Musefwe.
Times of Zambia staff last week held a three-day strike claiming that their slaries were delayed.
But government was worried that the strike action was instigated by the opposition.
