Traditional leaders in Northwesten Zambia start separation process?

Traditional leaders in North-western Zambia (red on the map below) have resolved not to recognise any government that will emerge from the current election and Constitutional Court circus.

The Chiefs have expressed shock at how the Zambian Police and Zambia Army have allowed the current breakdown in law and order where someone basically wants to assume leadership in a manner typical of a coup.

The traditional authorities further resolved not to respect the Zambian Constitution since a precedence has been set by Edgar Lungu and his PF leadership of not respecting the constitution by clinging on to power when he should have stepped aside in favour of the Speaker of National Assembly during the presidential petition.

The Chiefs further called for the immediate release of their subjects that are currently being held in police cells around the country.

The Chiefs also called for an immediate stop to the victimisation of their people at workplaces, markets and bus stops.

The traditional authorities who made the resolution are from from Copperbelt, North-Western, Southern, Central, Western, and Lusaka Provinces.

There is a saying among the ruling class in Zambia that no person from North-western Zambia will ever rule even if they win.
