Two Kapiri Mposhi children go missing

Two children from the same household in Soweto compound in Kapiri Mposhi district have gone
missing.

Maxwell Ngonga 12 and his young brother, Emmanuel Lunganda went missing on 2nd July 2012 around 15:00 hours and have not been seen
since.

Father to the children Emmanuel Lunganda and Police sources at Kapiri Mposhi police station disclosed the missing of the children to ZANIS
today, saying efforts to find recover the children have failed.

Mr Lunganda said that Maxwell was clad in a yellow trousers and blue shirt while Emmanuel was dressed in blue short and T-shirt the last
time they were seen.

He said both children were barefoot when they went missing.

Mr Lunganda is appealing to all those who would come across the children to contact him on 0973620552 or report to the nearest police
station.

Meanwhile, a community leader has expressed concern at the increased number of cases of missing children in his area.

Soweto compound section Chairman Benson Chizu said there are cases of missing children almost on a weekly basis in his area adding that most
children who go missing are usually not found.

He appealed to police to intensify patrols in the area and efforts to recover the missing children.

Mr Chizu also called on the people in the area to be more alert and report to police any suspicious activities and people believed to be
behind a spate of abducting children in the area.
