They introduced themselves as police officers from police headquarter and wanted to see Hichilema to deliver a call out so that he presents himself tomorrow.

But Hichilema’s advisor Dauglas Sikalaima asked the police officers if they didn’t’t know that Hichilema was at the station earlier.

He further revealed that government was trying to kill him and vowed that he would continue as an opposition leader to offer checks and balances to the current government as well as rendering vital services to the people of Zambia.

He explained that police did not call him to be questioned but to take his life.

Hichilema said there was nothing wrong for the UPND cadres to give solidarity for him because they believe that the alleged charges against him were flimsy.

Hichilema said he does not even know what he was called for at Lusaka Central Police Station.

Hichilema said if his summoning to appear before the police was in connection with his visit to Evelyn Hone College recently, then it was sad because there was nothing wrong for him to visit the institution.
