‘Ungodly’ pastor slaps journalist

MUVI TV staffer, Chris Habeenzu has been slapped by a pastor at Lusaka’s Winners Chapel International.
This was after the crew went to seek a comment from the Church leadership following complaints by some congregants that the behaviour of the named pastor was ungodly.
The irate named pastor turned confrontational grabbing MUVI TV news cameraperson, Charles Zulu in an attempt to break the camera while hurling unpalatables on the crew.
Some Church members present at the scene of the incident had a tough time in restraining the uncompromised pastor from fulfilling his mission.
The named pastor accused the television station of filming the church building without permission.
Meanwhile, a Faith based organization has condemned the incidents of abuse among Zambians at Winners Chapel.
Yesterday some church members from the church sought audience with the Deputy Minister of Labour, Simon Kachimba over what they described, as ungodly behaviour by the presiding clergy.
Zambia Interfaith Network Group (ZINGO) says religious leaders should be in the forefront of promoting good morals in society.
ZINGO Executive Secretary, Yussuf Ayami tells MUVI TV News that Pastors should provide leadership instead of promoting wrangles.
