The United National Independence Party (UNIP) has disputed claims by some of its former members who say it is a family affair (club).
UNIP Vice President, Njekwa Anamela, said the party is not a family club as its leaders and members come from all parts of the country.
Anamela was reacting to a statement by former UNIP K MP Timothy Nyirenda who said KK and Tilyenji have personalized the party.
He said the defectors are no longer UNIP members, therefore, they add no value to the strengthening of the party.
Anamela wished them well and hoped they would cause no confusion in their new home.
