Three Unions of the University of Zambia have threatened that their members will stop working due to the failure by the PF Government pay them June salaries.

Meanwhile , President Edgar Lungu has given each PF aspiring MP 2 brand new 4×4 Land cruisers and all fitted with public addresss systems and music horns. The estimated cost per vehicle is $50,000 by 2 =$100,000 per constituency by 156 constitutes =$15.6M . The question is where has Lungu and PF obtained that kind of cash within 12 months. This is a typical money formulae used by RB who had also supplied brand new vans to all aspiring MPs in 2011 but despite all that, he lost miserably .

The UNZA unions say workers will stage a go slow to go and look for money to feed their families.

The three unions are the University of Zambia lecturers and Researchers Union, The University of Zambia Professional Staff Union and the University of Zambia and Allied workers Union.
In a statement made available to MUVI TV News the Unions have noted with concern failure by management and government to pay salaries for the month of June.
Meanwhile, Former University of Zambia workers have appealed to government to settle their terminal benefits.
The ex-workers say non-payment of their benefits more than five years after leaving employment has turned them in to destitute.
