United Party for National Development (UPND) Magoye Constituency Aspiring Candidate Oliver Mulambo says he is confident of scooping the seat in the November 28 by-elections.
Speaking in an interview, Mulambo charged that he has received massive support from the voters in the area and will emerge victorious on polling day.
He said he is confident that the people of Magoye will give him the mandate to become Member of Parliament (MP) as he has campaigned vigorously.
Meanwhile, UPND Campaign Manager for Magoye Douglas Syakalima said that his party will use the November 28 by-elections to claim the victory that belongs to it.
Syakalima, who is also former UPND Siavonga MP, claimed that the party had scooped the seat already but the polls were just postponed due to the death of one of the candidates prior to the September 20 tripartite elections.
He also wondered why the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) Kabwata MP Given Lubinda during campaigns in Magoye questioned the people of Southern Province concerning their unending loyalty to the opposition, adding that voters have the right to choose their preferred candidates from any political party.
