UPND denied permit to celebrate Hichilema’s release in Mongu

The Police command in Western Province has denied the United Party for National Development (UPND) a permit to celebrate the release of party leader Hakainde Hichilema from prison.
The UPND in Mongu wanted to celebrate Hichilema’s release from prison on Saturday 19th August 2017.
Hichilema’s trumped up treason charge that saw him spend 4 months in prison was allegedly conducted in Mongu during the Kuomboka ceremony. Edgar Lungu was greatly embarrassed during the ceremony as people walked out before he could read his speech forcing him to cancel it.
