With only 13 days to go before Zambians goes to the polls, opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) officials in Northern Province are happy with the growing support their party is allegedly receiving in the area.
UPND provincial coordinator in charge of publicity Edward Musonda expressed confidence that his party will perform exceptionally well in the forthcoming polls compared to the past elections where its performance was dismal.
He challenged those who still think UPND was a nonentity in the Northern Province to brace themselves for a rude shock when results for the 20 September polls start being released.
Mr Musonda noted that the party has been receiving overwhelming support from people in the province following Mr Hakainde Hichilema’s recent visit to some districts in the region.
He said HH’s recent address on Radio Mano which has been repeated several times has been dubbed as one of the best ever address by a Presidential candidate.
Mr Musonda said everyone who has listened to the address in which the UPND leader articulated his developmental programme for the province is convinced that he is the best candidate to lead the country after the polls.
