UPND leaves out 8 MPs, adopts ‘radio caller’ Imbuwa for Kabwata

Regina Musokotwane has been left out

The UPND has left out seven of its current MPs in the ongoing adoptions for the next elections.

Those replaced include party chairman Edward Kasoko who has been MP for Mwembeshi in Mumbwa and newly elected MP for Chilanga captain Cosmos Moono.

And the UPND has adopted Imbuwa Imbuwa, the man known for making phone calls to all radio discussion programs as candidate for Kabwata constituency inLusaka.

The National Executive Committee of the party met Wednesday and rejected Regina Musokotwane for Katombora and replaced her with a Mr. Livuni.

Mutinta Mazoka has replaced David Matongo in the Pemba constituency.

Cornelius Mweetwa has replaced George Chazangwe in Choma central.

In Itezyi Tezyi, Godffrey Beene has been rejected in preference for Monde Monde.

The other serving MP who has been rejected is Raphael Muyanda of Sinazongwe and replaced With a Mr. Siamunene, according to people who sat in the meeting.

In Chikankata constituency, Munji Haabenzu has been replaced by Joseph Nakanga.

All other serving MPs have been retained.

The highest body of the party, the National Management Committee will sit tomorrow to look at the recommendations of the NEC but those familiar with the process say few changes are expected.

The Watchdog further understands that forKafueconstituency, the UPND has picked on Reverend Committee Njase while Martha Mushipe will run for Mandevu. A Mr. Ranchiord will be featured in Matero.
