United Party for National Development (UPND) Matero Constituency Aspiring Candidate, Kiran Ranchod has accused Government of making its citizens poor so that can control them fully.
In a radio interview on 5fm, Ranchod said there is need to shift from the notion that citizens are inferior to their leaders as those in Government are elected to provide to be of service to the people.
He said there is to bring about meaningful economic growth to the citizens as they deserve the best that the Government can offer.
Ranchod also reiterated his party’s commitment to revamping the education sector once ushered into office after next week’s elections.
He noted that once citizens are empowered with education their demands will be high as they will be enlightened to control Government and hold it accountable when need arises.
Ranchod implored Zambians to look beyond tribal grounds and elect an individuals whose tribe is Zambia as we are one nation.
He advised voters not to relent in their quest to bring about meaningful regime change which must be attained through the ballot in the forthcoming polls.
