UPND members of Parliament (MPs) have said they are not part of the calls by Namwala MP Robbie Chizyuka for the UPND/PF pact to announce the pact president.
The MPs have accused their colleague of being paid by the MMD to destroy the pact.
Mazbuka MP Gary Nkombo read a communique which he said was signed by all UPND MPs denouncing Chizyuka.
The MPs have challenged Chizhuka to resign from the party.
And UPND spokesperson Charles Kakoma told reporters that the party discipline committee will meet today to consider Chizyuka’ case.
According to Kakoma, major Chizyuka has not responded to a charge letter which had required him to exculpate himself.
He said his party is not aware of an injunction restraining it from disciplining Chizyuka.
UPND president Hakainde Hichilema currently has an ongoing case of contempt of court.
Mazabuka MP Mkombo challenged Chizyuka to prove his worth by resigning from the party.
He said his party will meet Chizyuka in Namwala.
Gary Nkombo is a teacher by training and once stood as an MMD candidate in Mazabuka parliamentary bye-election
He lost to the first ever UPND MP Griffin Nangomba to replace Ben Mwiinga.
