The opposition UPND says it is wrong to appoint Lombe Chebesakunda as Chief Justice because she is supposed to be retired.
The UPND  says it is also wrong to appoint Florence Mumba as deputy chief Justice when the office is already occupied by Justice Irene Mambilima.
UPND spokesperson Chrales Kakoma says it’s not just about appointing women but the right women in right positions.
President Michael Sata last week forced Chief Justice Ernest Sakala to go on leave and wait for his retirement which is two months away.

Justice Sakala who is 69 year old was replaced by Lombe Chibesakunda who is 68-years old.
