United Party for National Development (UPND) Vice President Richard Kapita has claimed that the outcome of the forthcoming elections will not be in favor of the Patriotic Front (PF) as it is not a reliable party.
Kapita said his party will not be intimidated by the perceived progress of its opponents as the party is on the ground campaigning and is sure of victory.
He also disputed rumors by the Patriotic Front (PF) that UPND is working in partnership with the ruling Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD),adding that such claims are false as his party has the ability to stand alone.
Kapita reiterated his party’s commitment to peaceful campaigns and called on all political parties to restrain their cadres from engaging in acts of violence.
He further said UPND is confident of emerging victorious in the forthcoming polls as it is focused on issues based campaigns and not mere rhetoric and character assassination.
