UPND says Sata just wants to use OP to suppress opposition not corruptiuon

The United Party for National Development (UPND) says the move by President Sata to engage the Zambia Security intelligence Services (ZSIS) in the fight against corruption is not in good faith.

UPND deputy Secretary General for politics Kuchunga Simusamba says  the move is aimed at suppressing the opposition.

In an interview, Mr. Simusamba has accused President Michael Sata of not being committed to the fight against corruption.

He says the fact that the President has stayed mute on corruption allegations involving his cabinet ministers destroys the purpose of his corruption crusade.

Simusamba says Sata is slowly drifting the country into the Kenneth Kaunda era where he says the secret service was at its toes to suppress divergent views.
