UPND submits statements to police on PF Youth Day attacks

Nine UPND Youths who were assaulted by PF Cadres on Youth Day submitted their statements to the Police in Lusaka this morning.
This is after UPND officials lodged a formal complaint to the police concerning the Youth Day incident.
Meanwhile, UPND Lusaka Province Youth Spokesperson Gilbert Liswaniso has given police a 48 hours ultimatum to arrest the culprits who assaulted the UPND members as they were identified in the visuals attached to the complaint, failure to which the party will effect a citizen’s arrest on all culprits.
The PF cadres who attacked UPND members on Saturday were being commandered by PF Youth Chairperson Kennedy Kamba.
But PF Youth Secretary for Lusaka Province Stanely Chiumya has told a press briefing this morning that the PF can sort out the UPND youths who threatened to conduct a citizen’s arrest on Kamba.
‘We know those UPND cadres threatening Kamba are from Garden and we can rout them out if we want,’ Chiumya warned.
