UPND will contaminate the October 18 national prayer and fasting day, so the party will do well to stay away, defence deputy minister Christopher Mulenga told Parliament on Tuesday.
Debating the thanks motion to the President’s speech, Mulenga, who is also Chinsali PF Member of parliament, said President Edgar Lungu did not invite the UPND to attend the national prayer and fasting day on October 18 and so the party would do well to stay away.
“Yes, we shall go ahead without your presence as UPND. You will do well to stay away. After all, President Edgar Lungu did not invite you! You will just contaminate the prayers, so you are free to stay away,” said Mulenga.
