UPND youths threaten to riot

United Party for National Development (UPND) youths have threatened to riot if Government does not rescind its decision of entering a Nolle Prosequi in the case involving two Chinese managers from Colum mine who shot eleven mine employees.

UPND Youth Coordinator, Brian Hapunda said his party strongly believes there is enough evidence to convict the Chinese nationals and the judiciary should revisit the case.

Hapunda said the youths have given Government an ultimatum of 3 days to address the case and ensure justice prevails.

He said it is sad to see foreign nationals getting away with serious crimes and not receiving the deserved stiff punishment.
