violence is certain if opposition lose-Simutanyi

Centre for Policy Dialogue Executive Director Neo Simutanyi has warned that Zambia should brace itself for violence after the polls in the event that the opposition does not emerge victorious.

Simutanyi told Hot FM, that he perceives that peace will only reign after elections if one of the political parties in the opposition wins the polls and forms government.

He noted that the current political situation in the country is volatile and those championing peace are justified as their analysis is based on the recent violent acts being witnessed.

Simutanyi appealed to opposition party leaders to desist from violence as it will work to their disadvantage when there is low voter turn out on polling day.
